Key Dates for 2019 Season

November 1st, 2018

-Registration Open with $50 Early Bird discount.  Register for 2019 season with a $50 deposit and you will receive $50 of each athlete registered.  This applies to K-2 Cheer, Rec Cheer, Tackle and Flag Football.  We will also be offering 7 on 7 in the spring for current 4th- 7th graders.

- Competition Cheer Tryout Registration Open.  We are opening registration to 4th to 8th graders.  The breakout of the age groups will be determined at the time of tryouts.  Registration fee for tryouts is $10

November 11th – November 21st, 2018 Survey will be open for all levels.

January 31st, 2019- Last day for early bird discount

February 5th, 2019 – Annual Meeting for all parents.  Come hear a recap of the 2018 season and all our successes.  We will go over key findings of the 2018 survey. We will also go over goals and any changes for the 2019 season.  There will be voting for the four Executive Board positions that are up for election.  Our Executive Board consists of 12 members and each year there is voting for 4 positions.  Each board member that is voted on is elected to serve a 3-year term.

March 1st, 2019- Registration for 7 on 7 closes

April 15th, 2019- Registration for Competition Cheer tryouts Closes

April-May, 2019 – There will be eight 7 on 7 games played.  Teams will be 4th and 5th grade together and 6th and 7th grade together.  There are no practices, we will practice a hour prior to games.  We will work with players to accommodate for spring sports.  Games will be played at local High Schools.  Games are played at Stevenson, Carmel and Prospect High School.

May 1st, 2019- $30 Late fee applies for all registration.  This applies to K-2 Cheer, Rec Cheer, Tackle and Flag Football. 

May 4th, 2019- Tryouts for competition cheer will be at 2:00pm

May 18th- 1St , 2019 Tackle Football Equipment Handout 8am-11am

June 22nd – 2nd , 2019 Tackle Football Equipment Handout 8am-11am

July 20th , 2019 – Last Tackle Football Equipment Handout 8am-11am

July 1st, 2019 - Registration closes for all programs.  This applies to K-2 Cheer, Rec Cheer, Tackle and Flag Football. 

July 1st, 2019 Practice for Competition Cheer will being

July 29th , 2019 – Evaluations begin for Flag and Tackle Football

Monday July 29th, 2019  6:00pm-8:00pm Evaluations for All levels of Flag and Tackle

-          Flyweight Flag Football (K-1st Grade) will be just one day.

-          Flag Levels are determined by age and weight (Click Here for Levels)

Tuesday July 30th - Friday August 2nd , 2019 -6:00pm-8:00pm Evaluations continue for:

-          Bantam Flag (2nd – 3rd Grade) and Featherweight Flag (4th -5th Grade)

-          All Levels of Tackle Football

-          August 2nd will be the last day for Flag Evaluations

July 31st, 2019 – All Parent Meeting

Monday August 5th – Friday August 9th , 2019: Tackle football Evaluations continue.

-          Monday August 5th , 2019 – first day of full Equipment practice for all tackle football

Saturday August 10th , 2019 Tackle Teams will be announced

Monday August 12th , 2019 Players will start Practicing with their teams

Monday August 12th – August 16th Practice Every day for Tackle football

Saturday August 17th, 2019 - Flag Football Teams will be announced

Week of August 19th , 2019

-          Tackle Football will go to three day a week Practices

-          Flag will have two day a week practice

August 21st or 22nd , 2019 – Will be the First Tackle game

Week of August 26th , 2019

-          Tackle Football will go to three day a week Practices

-          Flag will have two day a week practice

August 31st or September 1st , 2019 – Week two of tackle football Games

September 7th, 2019 - First week of Flag football games

October 19th or 20th , 2019 - Last Regular Season games for Tackle Football

October 26th, 2019 - Last Flag Football Regular Season Game

October 26th or 27th, 2019  First Round of the Playoffs for Tackle Football

Monday October 28th, 2019 – First round of Flag football Playoffs (Bantam and Feather Levels)

Tuesday October 29th, 2019  Second round of Flag Football Playoffs

Friday November 1st, 2019  Flag Football Championships

November 2nd or 3rd, 2019 Second Round of Tackle Football Playoffs

November 9th or 10th¸2019 Championship Games for Tackle Football

November 6th, 2019- Tackle Equipment Turn in

About Libertyville Boys Club (LBC)

  • Originally established as a boxing club, LBC has proudly served Libertyville and surrounding communities since 1933
  • Official Football and Cheerleading feeder program for Libertyville High School
  • In 2016, more than 400 athletes across 27 teams participated in LBC programs
  • Our travel tackle program hosted more than 1,500 athletes and their families from more than 20 communities across Lake, McHenry, Cook and DuPage counties last season
