LBC Cheerleading, Flag and Tackle football registration is now open!

As a Not For Profit Corporation, LBC is doing all we can to keep costs down while improving the football experience for our families. When compared to other travel sports programs, we believe LBC offers a great value and a tremendous opportunity for your child to learn important athletic and life skills through the games of football and cheerleading.  Once again, we are offering an "Early Bird" Discount for those who register before May 1st!  Registration will charge you one half of the fee and then charge your credit card for the remainder in 3 equal payments over the next three months.  You can pay the entire fee by changing the amount in the down-payment box in registration.  LBC also offers scholarships for families with financial needs.  To apply, go to our website (, click on FORMS and fill out the confidential application or use this direct link:  All fees and applications must be completed by the end of July for participation.
As we did last year, a $50.00 fee has been added to all registrations to offset the out of pocket expenses by parents during the season. This fee purchases two tickets to the year end party which was so successful for all our players last year.  You can purchase additional tickets for the entire family when you register. This gives all our players a chance to get together and celebrate a successful football season with their teammates and families.
We are looking forward to a great 2016 season!
Please register now and take advantage of the "Early Bird" Discount!

LBC Championship weekend recap!

It was a beautiful day to end our LBC Football season last Sunday!  We won two Championship games and lost one.

The Featherweight Pac Black team, coached by Geoff Apgar and Tim Farmer, lost a very close game, 7-6, to LITH at LHS. They were definitely a lot smaller than their opponent but played with a lot of heart and nearly came out on top.  Both the team and their fans had a great season!

The Lightweight Pac Orange team, coached by J.C. Holmes, completed a perfect season (12-0) by defeating Buffalo Grove 32-12 at LHS. It is not easy to defeat a good team twice in one season, but that is what LW Orange did to Buffalo Grove.  The two best teams were definitely in the finals.

The Lightweight Big Ten team, coached by Scott Luce, came away with a huge win over Plainfield, 15-6, in their Championship game at Carmel High School.  This team had lost to Plainfield, a few weeks ago on a rainy night at Butler Lake. This win shows the dedication and work effort put forth by the players and coaches to dominate Plainfield and win the Championship.

Many of the players on the Lightweight teams are in 8th grade and have completed their careers at LBC.  It has been great to have them as LBC Wildcats and we wish them all the best in their high school careers!  It has been a great season for all our LBC teams.  We have had countless comments from other communities on the dedication and sportsmanship that our teams exhibited all season.  This is a real credit to the coaches and parents but mainly to our Wildcat players.  Our kids played the game as it is supposed to be played and displayed what it means to be an LBC Wildcat!  We should all be very proud of them!

Thank you to all the parents for making this season a very successful one!  Our overall record for the year was 63 wins and 52 losses.  While it is nice to be ahead in the win category, it is even better to reflect on how our players and Cheerleaders came together as teams, grew in their skills and maturity, and were great representatives of LBC and Libertyville.

We look forward to a great 2016 season!
